“I always try to go on a food tour when on vacation in another country. The local guides are always knowledgeable and provide unique and interesting stories about the city. It's great to hear about the history of a location but they can provide a different perspective that you don't always get on a regular tour. What better way to learn about the culture of a city/country than through their food.”

“This was a wonderful way to spend the day - learning about oyster farming and wines of the Pelješac area. Oliver was a fun host, great driver, and shared many interesting facts about the area and places we were visiting. The van ride was very comfortable. Thoroughly enjoyed the boat ride, oyster tasting and education, as well as the salt mine. The winery was beautiful with wines and oil tasting. Most of all, the homemade lunch and wine provided at the second winery was absolutely delicious. Overall, I would definitely recommend this experience. Thank you Oliver.”

It was a perfect blend of activity and education - from going out on the boat to visit an oyster farm (learning their unique technique and tasting the most delicious oysters with homemade wine), to the salt pools in Ston and then of course the wineries and the amazing traditional lunch! Oliver was a perfect host/guide, the wines and food were top notch (you can ship home wine if you decide to buy - which we did!). The day wound up with a delicious and copious lunch featuring melt in your mouth meat and potatoes traditionally slow-cooked with homemade fruit liqueurs and a terrific cheese and charcuterie board to start.
